SALLY was the oldest known daughter of William Andrew McCartney and Nancy Caroline (Baird) McCartney. She married James Sampson Pratt on March 8, 1858, in Gibson County, Tennessee.

Sally and James Sampson were the parents of six known children--twins, Eliza Tennessee and Mary Jane "Mollie", Emily, Martha Elizabeth, John W., and Robert Jasper Pratt.

Gravesite Details

Many of the footstones in Pratt Cemetery have been removed from the gravesites and placed underneath a bench between the cedar trees apparently for "safekeeping" because they are small, sometimes difficult to see, and cause mowing problems.
