OBITUARY OF HERBERT PRESTON JINES

PERRYTON -- Herbert Preston JINES, 98, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Mr. JINES was a projection operator at the theater. He was a lifetime Mason. He was the oldest settler at the Old Time Reunion for 10 years. He was raised at Jines Springs south of Perryton. He was a loving husband for nearly 74 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Mae; a son, Preston JINES and wife, Sue, of Perryton; a daughter, Barbara YAHN and husband, Mick, of Buena Park, California; a brother, Orvel "Doc" JINES of Hardin, Montana; a sister, Ida Mae MASON of Narka, Kansas; five grandchildren, Karen JINES, Kelly JINES, Debra YAHN, Vickie YAHN and Nick YAHN Jr.; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Masonic Children's Home.
