SWEET HOME - Funeral for Henry J. Fields, 72, 202 N. 18th St., former Shedd resident, who died Friday at Lebanon Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Crawfordsville Alliance Church with Pastor Paul Poe officiating. Burial follows at Union Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Tracewell Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
He was born June 8, 1900 in Holley, where he was reared and educated and lived most of his life except for a short time near Baker and in the sisters area.
He worked mainly in the logging industry except for a brief time when he worked on a cattle ranch in eastern Oregon.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Palaniuk of Canby; three sons, Everett with the U.S. Marine Corps in Hawaii, Stanley of Reedsport and Jerry of Marcola: two brothers, Jim and Tony, both of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Eva Andrews of Missoula, Mont.; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
