Jonas Ely married Eliza J Hoilman on 6 March 1882 at Carroll County, Indiana.

Services for Mrs. Jonas Ely, 85, were held at First Methodist Church in Graham officiated by the pastor, Rev. E.W. Bridges. She was well known as one of the prominent pioneer settlers of Young County died at the Knights of Pythias Home in Weatherford, Texas.

Mr. and Mrs. Ely moved to Graham in the early 1880s and are well remembered by old residents. They lived seven miles north of Graham for a number of years before moving to Graham where they were in business. In 1926, Mrs. Ely moved to live in the Knights of Pythias home at Weatherford.

Survived by one daughter - Mrs. Mary Walstad.

One son died in early youth.
