That year, she and her husband moved to Pampa. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1914 and was the 60th member to join the church. She was a charter member of El Progresso Study Club and a member of WSCS Circle I of First United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher.
One son, George C. Walstad, Jr., preceded her in death.
