Survivors include six sons, including Otto, August, Lawrence, Robert and Fred (Edith); two daughters, including Martha (Carl) Matz; and grandchildren.
Funeral services were held November 7, 1940 at Smith's Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Interment was in the Town of Almon Cemetery.
