Solomon Hartman, a highly respected citizen of Arendtsville, Adams county, dled May 14, aged 73 years.
He had been a sufferer for about six months with a tumor in his neck.
He was a retired farmer and many years ago he followed farming near Fayetteville and was well known in the southern section of the county.
Mr. Hartman is survived by a widow and a number of children, among them being Rev. Wilmer Hartman of Avinnore, who has frequently preached in the First Lutheran church here.
