MRS. HIRAM LADY EXPIRES TODAY; RITES SUNDAY
Mrs. Hiram C. Lady, 91, died at 3:45 o'clock this morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd W. Garretson, Arendtsville, from complications. She had been ill a week.
Born in Adams County, the deceased was a daughter of the late Soloman and Sarah Bushey Hartman. Her husband died in 1932. The former Miss Anna M. Hartman, she was the last of her family.
Mrs. Lady was a life member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Arendtsville, where she was an active member of the Women's Missionary Society. She was a Sunday School teacher for a number of years.
She is survivied by the following sons and daughter, Clyde H. Lady and Roy A. Lady, West Chester; Luther M. Lady, Biglerville R. 2, and Mrs. Garretson with whom she lived. There are five grandchildren and four great-grandsons. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Wilmer Hartman, Middletown, Md.
Funeral services will be held from the Bender Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Robert K. Shaull officiating. Interment will be in the Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville.
Relatives will receive friends at the Bender Funeral Home Saturday evening from 7 until 9 o'clock.
