Mrs. Zennie B. McGahee, age 96, of Augusta, passed away, Sunday evening, July 14, 2002 at Jennings Health Care. Formerly a longtime resident of Olmstead Homes, she was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, and a member of Hope Chapel. She is survived by, three daughters, Virginia Oglesby, Lillie Mae Russell, Helen Grizzard, all of Augusta; one son, Gary McGahee, Hephzibah; two granddaughters, Carol Atkinson, Beech Island, S.C., Kathy Sprouse, Union, S.C.; 17 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2002, from the graveside in Westview Cemetery with her nephew, Clarence Overton, officiating. Elliott Sons.
