Miss Edwards Dies in Sanitarium and Buried Last Sunday


Funeral services were held at the Pine Grove Cemetery on Sunday for Miss Lovely Louise Edwards, aged 18, who passed away in a Shreveport sanitarium, where she had been conveyed on Friday suffering from acute appendicitis.
Interment followed at that place, with Rev. R. M. Doughty, of Tullos, and Rev. L. D. Posey, of Jena, officiating.

Miss Edwards was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Edwards, of Jena. She was born near Blade on April 1st, 1916, and had resided in LaSalle Parish her entire life. She was a student of the Jena High School and was beloved by her teachers and classmates. Her sunny disposition caused her to make friends with all with whom she came in contact and her passing will be regretted by a score of friends and numerous relatives.

Miss Edwards is survived by her father and mother; four brothers, Tol, A. M., Roy and Bobbie, and one sister, Mrs. Ed McClure, of Jonesville.
