Ralph David Howe was born Saturday, December 28, 1918 in Murray, Utah to Harry Esmond Howe Sr. and Minnie May Fullmer. He grew up in the family home on Vine Street in Murray, and attended local schools.
He married Virginia Duffin on January 26, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three children, Gary, Kathryn (Harold), and Gordon.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, belonging to the Monument Park Ninth Ward. He held many positions, including High Priest.
He was president of the Utah Hotel Association for several years. He was a member of the Beehive Statesman Chorus and was president of the Southeast Lions Club at the time of his death. He was a longtime member of the Hidden Valley Country Club.
Ralph passed away on Friday, June 10, 1983 in a local hosptal. He resided at 2411 East Kensington Avenue (1522 South) in the Foothill neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of his death.
Funeral services were held on Monday, June 13, 1983 at 12:00 p.m. in the Monument Park Ninth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1565 South Foothill Drive (2400 East) in Salt Lake City. A viewing was held on Sunday, June 12, 1983 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary located at 2350 East 1300 South in Salt Lake City, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Ralph was laid to rest following the conclusion fo the funeral services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in East Millcreek.
