COURIER JOURNAL OBITUARY - 10/24/1959
Mrs. Ambrose Corbett, 77, formerly of 722 Evelyn died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday at Waverly Hills Sanatorium, where she had been a patient since February. Her husband, now retired, was a carpenter for the American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corporation. Mrs. Corbett, the former Mary Therese Hardesty, was a native of Meade County, and had lived in Louisville for more than 40 years. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Clark, Mrs. Catherine Agnita Peak, Mrs. Jean Oldham, Mrs. Velma Zaepfel, and Mrs. Maydell Reiss; six sons, Joseph E. Corbett, Brandenburg; Ernest A., Fred, Kelly, Pius, and Howard Corbett; a brother, John Hardesty, who lives in Texas; 44 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. The body is at Ratterman's, 2815 S. Fourth. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
