Alonzo Carl Hart, son of James and Barbara (Seedles) Hart, passed away at 8:55 p.m., Sept. 25, 1955, in the Sturgis Mem. Hospital at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 25 days. he was born in Eden Township, LaGrange County, on December 28, 1864. He was united in marriage with Pheby Caldwell on August 11, 1890. To this union 7 children were born. One son, Harley, and his wife Pheby, preceded him in death. He is survived by 6 children: Clark and Clarence of Goshen, Mrs. Emma Miller of Bryan, Ohio, David of Stroh, Ralph of Sturgis MI, and Earl of Topeka; 2 brothers, Alfred of LaGrange and Allen of Kendalville,; 21 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. He was a resisent of LaGrange County all of his life, with the exception of a little over two years, when he moved to Sturgis MI to live with his son Ralph and wife. He suffered a stroke on Oct. 14, 1954, and since then has been in failing health.
