Mrs. David Caldwell, 80, died Wed. morning at her home at Valentine, five miles south of here. She had been ill for 18 months and in a serious condition for the past 4 weeks. She was born in LaGrange County on July 10, 1861. Surviving are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Bertha Darrow of Wayland, Mich., Mrs. Bessie Johnson of Comstock, Mich., Mrs. Pearl Sedgwick of Kalamazoo, Mich., Mrs. Sadie Jones of Iona, Mich., Mrs. hazel Harp of LaGrange, Ind., and Mrs. Mildred Ramer of Topeka, Ind; seven sons, Edward, Oscar, David, Glancy, Stewart, and Sanford Caldwell, all of near LaGrange, Ind., and Lester Caldwell of Vicksburg, Mich.; 51 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six brothers, John and Bert of LaGrange, Daniel of Benton, Ind., Alonzo Hart of Stroh, Alfred Hart of Topeka, and Alen Hart of Wolcottville, Ind. The body is at Caton Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Caldwell residence.
