Originally interred at Vallingham Cemetery in Missouri. Reinterred at Trading Post in 2010 by his descendants. Although no physical body or casket remained to transport, the grave marker and a quantity of earth was removed from the original site, transported to Trading Post and set there.

Civil War Veteran. William died of complications from a disease he acquired during the War effort. From the notes made in his Civil War Pension Packet it looks like the cause of death was cholera.

As of March 2015: per DNA results, William is a descendant of William Logsdon and Honora O'Flynn through their son Thomas Logsdon and Mary Vaughn. There appear to be at least two generations between Thomas/Mary and William, but the ancestors in that line have not yet been determined.

Although many researchers have stated that William is the son of Edward Logsdon and Sabina Howard, this is a fallacy perpetuated by one researcher who cannot prove the line.son of Edward, Jr. and Sabina Logsdon
