Anna Schofield
Neillsville (Wisconsin) -- Services for Anna E. Schofield, 83, Neillsville, who died at 12:40 a.m. Monday, at Memorial Home, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Neillsville.
The Rev. Thomas LaChapelle will officiate and Lori Anding will be the vocalist, accompanied by Iris Musil. Burial will be in the town of Weston Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gerald and Brad Opelt, William Molin, Kurt Hediger, Jerome Guenther and Bruce Tibbett.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and until 11 a.m. Thursday at Gesche Funeral Home (Neillsville, Wisconsin).
She was born Dec. 15, 1905, at Monticello, Iowa, to Abraham and Mary Allamand. She attended Monticello schools.
She was married to Charles L. Schofield on July 12, 1927, in Anamosa, Iowa. He died Dec. 7, 1985.
She and her husband owned and operated a monument company at Monticello for several years before moving to Benton (should be Vinton), Iowa, where they owned and operated a Gamble Hardware store. In 1959, they moved to the town of Weston in Clark County (Wisconsin). She continued to live in Weston after her husband's death.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Lucille) Richards of Waterloo, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Mary Lou) Guthrie of Marion, Ohio, Caroline Neff of Princeton, Iowa, and Mrs. Hugh (Dorothy) Turner of Dime Box, Texas; three brothers, Karl Allamand of Milwaukie, Ore., George Allamand of Biggs, Calif., Ray Allamand of Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandchild
