"Ralph S Fahs Sr Ralph s. Fah Sr., 66 husband of Mrs. Margaret B. Fahs, died at 5:15 a.m. today at his residence, 344 South Queen street. Son the late Silas J. and Mary A. Horn Fahs, he was retired two years ago by Volkert-York Tool Company after 40 years of service.
He was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church; York Lodge 148, Loyal Order of Moose, and Laurel Fire Company 1.
Besides the wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Betty E. Abel, 1120 Ruxton Road; a son, Ralph S. Fahs Jr., 1297 West Poplar Street; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs Ada Swords and Mrs. Grace Schwartz, 330 East Princess street; Mrs. Rae E. Smyser, 373 Madison avenue, and Miss Bessie A. Fahs, Philadelphia, and a brother, Elmer M. Fahs, 360 North Main Street, Manchester.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Strack, Strine and Jackson Funeral Home, 1205 East Market street. The Rev. William A. Speers will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery."
