Robert was the son of Silas Fahs and Mary Horn. His paternal grandparents were James Alexander Fahs and Mary Fisher.

He married Elizabeth Kendig.

"Robert Fahs, York RD 5, died at 8:05 p.m. yesterday at York hospital. He was 70 and the husband of Elizabeth Kendig Fahs.

Born in York, son of the late Silas and Mary Horn Fahs, he is survived besides his wife by a son, Robert L. Fahs, York RD 5; two daughters, Mrs. Jack C. Orr, Dover RD 2 and Mrs. Stephen Nicholas, York RD 5; eight grand-children; three brothers, James Fahs, 634 Courtland street; Elmer Fahs, Manchester and Ralph Fahs, 344 South Queen street; and four sisters, Mrs. Earl Swords, 330 East Princess street; Mrs. Grace Schwartz, 330 East Princess street; Mrs. Fred L. Smyser, 373 Madison avenue; and Elizabeth Fahs, Philadelphia.

He was a member of Bethany EUB church, Pleasureville, and a sheetmetal worker at the body division of York-Hoover corporation for 30 years until his retirement a year ago. Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
