A son of the late John F. Leake and Sarah Nauman Leake, he was born in Page County on December 28, 1882. He was employed at the rock quarry in Engle Switch, W.Va. for twenty years and had retired after being employed at the Foltz Milling Company, near Stanley.
He was united in marriage with Miss Hester Seekford of March 30, 1904. Mrs. Leake preceded him in death on January 7, 1946.
One daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Ruby) Dovel and one son, Olin Leake, both of Stanley, survive him as do nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His twin sister, Mrs. Flora Seekford of Stanley, also survives as do three other sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Leake, Mrs. Maggie Lucas and Mrs. Bertha Smelser, all of Stanley.
Two children and two brothers are deceased.
Elder A.F. Sudduth will officiate at the last rites today (Thursday) at 3 p.m. in the Leaks Chapel Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in the chapel cemetery.
