Horney, Francis DeWayne passed away November 14, 2008. He was born to Oliver and Pearl Horney on January 19, 1925 in Leon, Iowa. DeWayne and his wife Zella, of 62 years, came to this area in 1946 from Iowa where they raised Diane Christian (Rockie), Edwin Horney (Kathy), Gary Horney (Pam), Brenda Mathews (Bruce), and Rob Christian (Angela). He is survived by his wife Zella, four children, eight gandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and was a member of Cloverleaf grange. He retired from Kaiser after 36 years. He will be missed dearly by family and friends whose hearts he touched. The family would like to thank the Renal Care Group of Post Falls for the years of care.
