Walter Sherman Crisler 86, Town Creek died Wednesday at Oak Crest Nursing Home, Tuscumbia.

He was a retired farmer and a member of First Baptist Church, Town Creek.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim Baptist Church, near Moulton, with the Revs. Willard Saint, Burley Taylor and Terry Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek, Elliott Funeral Home, Moulton, directing.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 6 to 9 tonight.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Crisler; sons, Harold G. Crisler, Louisville, Ky., Fred W. Crisler, Memphis, Tenn., Haskell W. Crisler, Clifton C. Crisler, Sherman E. Crisler, Franklin G. Crisler, Truman U. Crisler, Billy G. Crisler, all of Town Creek; daughters, Thelma Montgomery, Hazel Gray, both of the Shoals area, Clementine Smith, Russellville, Flossie Fay Gibson, Decatur, Betty Huddleston, Mt. Juliot, Tenn., Martha Allen, Hillsboro, Margie Dell Brackin, Huntsville, Patricia Cleveland, Moulton, Betty Cross, Town Creek; 55 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben Crisler, Chickasaw, Ralph Crisler, Waco, Texas, Hurley Crisler, Russellville; a sister, Mrs. Julia McCullough, Florence.

Bearers will be grandsons.
