Funeral services for Edward D. Simons, 46, of Utopia, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hyltin-Manor Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Faurie, James Crawford, Monroe Cantrell, Gene Allen, Leroy Simons and Harvey Cantrell. Pallbearers will be Ted Childress, Ed Rogan, Bob Clayton, Hyman Sandgarten, Pete Weaver and Roy Burton. The body will be received in Austin Wednesday night for services Thursday. Simons died at his home in Utopia Monday, Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Simons; his step-mother, Mrs. Ella Simons of Austin; two daughters, Miss Mary Ann Simons of Temple and Mrs. David Raney of Utopia; one brother, Harvey Simons of Austin; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Wood of Austin, Mrs. Lillie Ray of Austin, Mrs. Helen Faurie of Austin and Mrs. Rosie Cantrell of Utopia.
