Rosa Nell Simons Cantrell, age 97, of Utopia, Texas passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, in Bandera, Texas. She was born on November 1, 1917, in Bull Creek, Texas located in Travis County to Harvey O. Simons and Lottie Mae (Toungate) Simons.

She married Jack Cantrell on July 20, 1933, in Bull Creek, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Monroe Cantrell and wife Sherry of Sabinal, Josh Cantrell and wife Leslie of Junction; daughters, Elvie Duke and husband Rip of Utopia, Joyce Rainey of Junction; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Floyd Cantwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Lottie Simons; husband, Jack Cantrell; daughter, Effie; sons, Harvey and Elvin; granddaughter, Vicky Cantrell; and great-granddaughter, Misty Leistikow.

Pallbearers include Arthur Leistikow, Allen Leistikow, John Gilleland Jr., Jim Cantrell, James Earl Brice, Ryan Woods, Shawn Rainey, and Jake Cantrell.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Jones Cemetery in Utopia, Texas, with Brother Jim Boyd officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
