Sophia Antene, daughter of John and Emma Antene was born Feb. 10, 1889 north of Ada in Stanton township, Ottawa county, Kansas. She departed this life at St. John's Hospital in Salina on Jan. 11, 1966, at the age osf 76 years, 11 months and 1 day, following a lingering illness.

She was married to Anton Svatopolsky. To this union one daughter was born.

Her parents, two brothers Frank and Victor and one sister Rose, preceded her in death.

She made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fowler of Route two, Salina, Kansas.

She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, son-in-law and one grandson, Kenneth Fowler, of Rochester, New York, two brothers, Edward Antene of Delphos and Carl Antene of Keys, Oklahoma and six sisters, Mrs. Celia Jones, Mrs. Ella Bruce, Mrs. Lelola Bradbury, Mrs. Connie Chapman, all of Minneapolis, Mrs Violetta Yager of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Georgia Majors of Sebring, Florida, and a host of relatives and friends.

To know her was to love her. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Jan. 14, at 2 o'clock at the Haley Funeral Home in, Minneapolis. The Rev. Olin Belt officiated and Mrs. Bill Hemmenway provided the music. Pallbearers were Tom Bradbury, Carl Pickrell, Earl Chaprnan, Duane Chapman, Earl Ray Pickrell and Everett Bruce. Burial was in the Bohemian Cemetery.
