Rebecca Arnot Robinson was the wife of Henry A Baker. They were married on June 23, 1835, in Monroe County, Virginia which is now West Virginia. They were the parents of 7 known children; Newton A Baker, Joseph Walter Baker, Nathaniel "Nathan" Lewis Baker, Virginia Sarah Baker, Frances Charlotte Baker, Louvisa C Baker, Henrietta "Etta" Baker.
Soon after their marriage, Henry and Rebecca moved to Gallia County, Ohio, and are seen in the 1840 census. They are not seen in the 1850 census, and then in 1860 Rebecca Baker was listed as a widow, age 46. Her husband, Henry, is said by our family, to have died in 1853. Rebecca is not seen after this, and a second marriage has not been found, so it is believed she also died between 1860 and 1870.
Henry and Rebecca Baker's place of burial has not been verified as no tombstones have been found, but family members say they are buried in the old Drummond Folden Cemetery in Mudsoc where the Baker parents are buried. It is abandoned and wildly overgrown with many unmarked graves.
Any additional information on our grandparents, Henry and Rebecca Baker is welcome.
