Casey, was a retired federal employee, a farmer, and a lifelong member of the church, who served as an elder at the 5th and Greenwich Church of Christ in Russellville, Arkansas for many years. He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Florence (Shoptaw) Casey, and a son Robert Lowell 'Bob' Casey, a professor of music at Arkansas Tech University, Russellville.
