C.F. "Sully" Leiker died at his home in Salina. He joined the Salina Police Department in 1951. He left the police force in 1960 after he was elected marshal of Magistrate Court. He had also served as deputy sheriff. At the time of his death he was the adult probation officer for Saline County.

Mr. Leiker was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral parish and of the Salina Eagles Lodge. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors included his wife, Irene; three sons, Charles, Richard and Howard; one daughter, Mrs. Arlene Cornwell; four brothers, Jerry, Clarence, Elmer, and Victor; one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Waldschmidt, and six grandchildren.
