Mr. Leiker had lived in Great Bend since 1945. He was an assemblyman for the Great Bend Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church and a veteran of the World War II serving in the Army Air Corps.
Survivors included his wife, Elizabeth; his stepmother, Mrs. Mathilda Leiker; five brothers, Jerry, C.F., Clarence, Elmer and Victor; a half-sister, Mrs. Sylvia Waldschmidt; two step brothers, Bart and Jerome Schmidt; a stepsister, Mrs.Melvina Gack; and three grandchildren.
