Nancy Elizabeth Ambrose
On Tuesday October 16th, Mrs. A. E. (***should be H. N. )Ambrose passed away. Mrs. Ambrose had been in failing health for several months and had suffered a great deal. Many of the friends and relatives visited her until death and then paid their last respects by attending the funeral.
Mrs. Ambrose leaves four of her own children to mourn her going and also a family of step children to whom she had been a mother as well as host of friends to mourn her loss.
On her dying bed she left the sweetest of testimony. Among other things she said that she was ready to go. She asked them all to live so that they might meet her on the other side. She asked her children to do right and never wrong their neighbor. Mrs. Ambrose had been a member of the baptist church for thirty-four years.
Her remains were laid away last Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Rainey grave yard near Amboy
