ALGER - Arthur Carman, 85, Rt. 1. Lafayette, died at 3 a.m. today in his home following an illness of one month. He was a retired farmer.
Born Sept. 7, 1879, in Knox County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Carman. In 1902 he married Ollie Lones who died in 1957.
Surviving are three grandchildren. A son, Carl, died in 1963.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Hanson Funeral Home, Alger. Rev. Willard Thomas will officiate, and burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Lafayette.
