Jacob Teeple was probably the son of John Teeple (1766-c1830) and Sophia Guest (c1761-c1794), d/o John Jacob Guest and Sophia Pitney.

Jacob married Elizabeth Collver/Culver (1794-1861), d/o Simon Collver and Jemima Tuttle and farmed in the Ohio counties of Stark and Tuscarawas.

They had the following issue:

1. Asa B. Teeple born in 1821 in NJ. He married 15 Oct 1843 Julia Ann Mock in Tuscarawas Co, OH. Asa died 1851 in Defiance, OH. They had a family and then Asa died of consumption in Williams Co., OH. Following his death, Asa's widow married his close friend James Durham.

2. Dr. John Culver Teeple, 1823-1859.

3. Dr. David Culver Teeple born 25 Aug 1825 Warren Co., NJ, married 5 Nov 1857 Mary S. Bratton in Defiance Co., OH. He died 8 Mar 1879 Fulton Co, OH.

5. Sophia Teeple born 16 Dec 1827 in NJ, married 12 Jan 1851 to Andrew B. Baker in Tuscarawas Co, OH; she died 8 Mar 1888 in Bolivar, Tuscarawas, OH. Buriel: Ft. Laurense, Lawrence Twnshp., Tuscarawas, OH.

6. Mary Teeple born Jan 1830 in Stark Co., OH; married 24 Dec 1854 Gideon Brothers in Stark Co., OH. She died 1903 in Indiana.

8. George Teeple born 25 Mar 1832 Sussex Co., NJ. He married 30 May 1866 Mary Stoner. Death: 17 Oct 1912 Coffeyville, KS (Same town as Jacob Eugene Patterson died, son of Jemima Teeple).

9. Jemima Teeple born 6 Jun 1834 in OH, married 5 Jan 1862 John S. Patterson; died 12 Mar 1891 in Allen County, KS.

10. Annie C. Teeple born 1837 in OH, married 29 Dec 1870 to John Hanline in Tuscarawas Co., OH.
