Asa B. Teeple was born 7 Feb 1821 in NJ, s/o Jacob Teeple (1791-1872) and Elizabeth Collver (1794-1861). His paternal grandparents were John Teeple (c1760-1820) and Sophia Guest (c1761-1858). His maternal grandparents were Simon Collver (1745-1828) and Jemima Tuttle (1752-1843).

Asa married 15 Oct 1843 in Bolivar, Tuscarawas Co., OH to Julia Ann Mock b. 5 Jun 1822 near Bolivar, Tuscarawas Co., OH, d/o John Mock (1779-1865) and Elizabeth Smith (1782-1855). After Asa died, Julia Ann m. (2) 25 Sep 1853 James Durham b. 27 Oct 1807 Frederick Co, VA (his 2nd marriage).


Children of Asa Teeple and Julia Ann Mock:

1. Almond Teeple b. 1844 Beach City, Stark Co, OH

2. Ephraim Teeple b. Mar 1846 OH. He served in the Union Army with Co B 184th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. He married Anna Maria Swank born 25Aug 1832 in Pauldwin, Ohio and died about 26 Dec 1869 in Freesoil, Mason, MI (grave stone says 1904). Ephraim died 4 Feb 1927 in Nueva Gerona, Isle of Pines, Cuba and was buried there in Columbia Cemetery, subdivision A, Lot 23.

3. Ezra or Ira Teeple b. Apr 1849 Milford, Defiance Co., OH. He may have died 11 Mar 1875 in Freesoil, Mason Co., Michigan.

4. Julia Teeple b. about 1851. She died in 1875 in Freesoil, Mason Co., Michigan and was buried in Maple Grove Cem., Find a Grave # 43997850. She married John B. Weaver who was buried in the same cemetery Find A Grave Memorial# 41456573.
