Myra M. Hilliard, age 90 yrs. of Stanley died Monday, 19 Sept. 1994 at Page Memorial Hospital, Luray, Va. Born 31 Oct 1903 at Stanley, daughter of the late James Ernest & Artie Lessie Nauman Mayes. Mrs. Hilliard was a member of the Alma Primitive Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. On April 14, 1943 she married Harry Gar Hilliard who died May 25, 1979. She is survived by her son, Hubert Wilson of Orlando, Fl. Daughters, Janice Pettit of Stanley & Patricia Moore of Jacksonville, NC. Sisters, Elna Mayes of Stanley & Madeline Sours of Berryville, Va. 2 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren. A daughter, Junella Melton is deceased. A funeral service was conducted Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by Elder Ernest Long and Dr. Larry B. Patton. Burial was in Leaksville Cemetery.
