Mrs. Jenkins was born July 22, 1905, in Stanley, the daughter of James Ernest and Artie Nauman Mayes. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church, Alma.
She was married to Dewey D. Jenkins.
Surviving with her husband are three sons, Carroll Jenkins of Richmond, Granville Jenkins of Baltimore, and Haskell Jenkins of Berryville; four sisters, Myra Hilliard, Ruby Purdham and Elna Mayes, all of Stanley, and Madeline Sours of Berryville; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Enders Funeral Home, Berryville, with the Rev. Elmer Skeen and the Rev. Ernest Long officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.
Pallbearers will be Gary Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Martin Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins, Fred Long, Eric Snyder, and Tim Bruce.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
