Hornbeck was a Methodist. He was retired from the Auburn, Indiana Foundry.
He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Isaac and June Mallett Hornbeck.
He is survived by two sons, Carlton Hornbeck of Reeder, W.Va., and Richard Hornbeck of Belpre; one daughter, Sue Jacquay of Auburn, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Albie Troiano of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Frances Flinn Hornbeck in 1991, three brothers, two sisters, and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 12 noon Thursday, at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Paul Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Home Cemetery, Belleville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday.
