Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) - October 18, 1988 Deceased Name: CHARLES W. LEBKISHER Friends of Charles W. Lebkisher are invited to meet with his family at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Mr. Lebkisher died of a heart attack Saturday in a Portland hospital. He was 81. Mr. Lebkisher was born in Urbana, Ohio, on Nov. 19, 1906, and had lived in Vancouver the last 41 years. He was a retired electrician for the Veterans Administration hospitals and Bonneville Power Administration in Vancouver and Portland. Mr. Lebkisher served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7824 in Orchards. He was also a member of Kenton Masonic Lodge 145 in Portland and Electrical Workers Union Local 48 in Vancouver. Mr. Lebkisher also farmed Christmas trees. Surviving Mr. Lebkisher are his wife, Virginia F. of Vancouver; daughter, Billie R of Lake Quivira, Kan.; sister, Edna K of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren. Private burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Heart Association, 715 Dayton Ave., Vancouver 98664.
