Married LaVerna Rodig on Sept. 18, 1949 in Elko, Elko, Nevada.

Harvey Glen Holmes, 75, of Jerome, passed away Saturday, October 24, 1999, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Harvey was born April 3, 1924 in Wendell, Idaho, to John and Lydia M. Lisonbee Holmes. Although the family moved often, most of his younger years were spent in Buhl. In 1949 Harvey married LaVerna Rodig, and they shared 42 wonderful years together. They shared the many joys of life. From the time their children were young, they lived in Jerome. During their years together, their main focus was always on their family, be it traveling together, camping, arrowhead hunting in the desert, or simply gathering at Grandma's. Harvey was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. After LaVerna's death in 1991, he continued to bless the rest of his family and friends with his positive attitude and ongoing thoughtfulness. Harvey will be remembered as the greatest Dad and brother, an awesome grandfather and a true friend. His four grandchildren remember him as "Papa," and he will forever be an influence in their lives.
Harvey is survived by his daughter, Debbie Silvers, of Jerome; his son John, of Eagle; his four grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Ryan and Ashlay; his sisters, Dorothy Lynch, of Wendell, and Ada Hammond, of Seattle; and his brother Ralph, of Los Angeles.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Wednesday, October, 27, 1999, at 1 p.m., in the Jerome cemetery, West Ave I, Jerome, Idaho. Arrangements are under the direction of Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 So. Lincoln, Jerome, ID, where flowers may be sent.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital for their TLC and support.
