Funeral for Lawrence M. Holmes will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. Mr. Holmes died Tuesday in his Corona, Calif., residence. He was 71.
Mr. Holmes was born Nov, 1, 1913 in Jerome, Idaho, and had lived in Portland for many years. He was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He had been living in Corona for the past year.
Surviving are his sons, Richard A. of Oregon City and William L. of Corona, daughter Joann Wright of Kalama, Wash., and Catherine E. Engelquist of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers Jesse, Ralph, James, Harvey and Carl; sisters Ada Hammond, Dorothy Lynch and Stella Pierce, 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
