"Suggested edit: SPARTA. Wis.—Ora C. Abbott. 73, R. 4. Sparta, died in a Sparta hospital Sunday, June 4. He is survived by his widow the former Bertha Huntington: six sons, Byron of Fairfield,Ohio, Bernard, Spencer, Bill of Racine, Basil and Warren of Cataract; seven daughters, Mrs. Robert Tobalski of Racine, Mrs. Joe Deters and Mrs. Joe Cone of Sauk City, Mrs. June Goodenough of La Crosse, Mrs. Robert Edmison and Mrs. Richard Pollock of Sparta and Mrs. John Shawley of Milwaukee; one brother, Bill of Cataract; three sisters, Mrs. LaMont Gammerdinger of Milwaukee, Mrs. Catherine Peterson of West Salem and Mrs. Marie Austin of Sparta; 49 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son, Bernie, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Kirchoff Funeral Home, Sparta, Rev. Stanley Wiesee officiating, and burial will be in the Cataract Cemetery. Friends were to call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday Tuesday until the services. Mrs. Abbott, who is seriously ill in a La Crosse hospital, will be brought to Sparta by ambulance and will attend the services on a stretcher.
