Frank was the son of Christian Carl and Frederika Sterdt Prinz and the brother to Friederike Anna, Wilhelm and Alvina Pauline (twins) and a deadborn child. Frank married Karoline Melber Prinz and their children were Mary Mueller, Bertha Gebert, Emma Wieruscheske, Alfred Prinz, Otto Prinz, Caroline Anderson, Alma Hennig, Gus Prinz, Pauline Hamann and Frank Jr. Frank and Karoline lived on the farm directly west of the Richland church.
