He was a retired Master Sgt. from the U.S. Air Force and had volunteered for duty in Vietnam. He also retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, TSSI, and was a member of the East Dayton Baptist Temple.
Preceded him in death were his wife, his parents, and two brothers.
Survivors include: three daughters, Pamela M. and husband Roy Chaffin of Beavercreek, Ohio, Nancy E. of Clinton, Tn. and Judy D. of Riverside, Ohio; one son, Gary J. and wife Susan of Xenia, Ohio; six Grandchildren, Mikki, Jaimie, Angie, Jenny, Jamie and Jimmy; one great grandchild, Monica; five sisters, Melba, Peggy, Barbara, Cindy and Darla; a brother, Richard; and a special friend, Jason.
Services were Thursday, January 23, 1997 at 2 p.m. at the Schlientz and Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Banberg officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
