Bennie Eugene Bennett, 60, of Doniphan, died Nov. 3, 1994 at Kemang Villas Jakarta, Indonesia. Born June 8, 1934 in Caruthersville, he was the son of Lonnie and Pansy Wilbanks Bennett. He was an Air Force sergeant and most recently had been employed with the L.A. Gear Co. as a regional director of Asian operations.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Sue Mitchum Bennett of Doniphan; Two sons, Ben Bennett of Doniphan and Anthony Bennett of New York; A daughter, Robin Bennett of Doniphan; Two brothers, Bobby and Richard Bennett, both of Dayton, Ohio; Five sisters, Melba Byrn of Caruthersville, Peggy Shearer, Barbara Nolan and Darla Goerke, all of Sahuarita, Ariz., and Cindy Bell of Bourbon, Mo.; Two aunts, Eula Young and Vera Mackay, both of Caruthersville; And a grandson, Madison Eugene Bennett of Doniphan.
Services were Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, the Rev. Robert Griffin officiating, woth burial in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
