OBITUARY _ MRS. BERTHA DOLSON
Bertha Drake, eldest child of Stephen G. and Fannie (Stratton) Drake, was born in Crawford County, Illinois, July 3, 1892, and departed this life in St. Anthony Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana, October 31, 1961, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 28 days.
At an early age she united with the Prairie Grove Baptist Church, later transferring her membership to the First Baptist Church of West Union, where she was an active member until about eight years ago when her health failed and she was no long able to attend services.
March 18, 1916, she was united in marriage to Rush S. Dolson of West Union. In addition to the husband, she is survived by a daughter, Esther of Indianpolis, two sons, Fenton and Gene of West Union, four sisters, Mrs. Hallie Randolph of Oblong, Mrs. Flossie Harrison and Mrs. Ellen Pittman of Marshall, and Mrs. Edna Forbes of Terre Haute, and one brother, James W. Drake of Franklin, Indiana, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. November 3 at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel, with burial in York Cemetery. Rev. Harold Neal officiated at the services.
