DEATH OF MRS. CLINTON.
Mrs. Miles L. Clinton died about half past twelve o’clock, noon, to-day of dropsy. She had been in failing health for a number of months, but her condition was not considered precarious until a few days ago. Mrs. Clinton was the daughter of the late Hiram Clock, and sister of our well known townsman, Mr. Henry Clock, upon whom devolved the unwelcome duty of imparting to his aged mother the tidings of her daughter’s demise. Mrs. Clinton had a very extensive acquaintance in Ithaca, she having for a long period filled a clerical position in the post office.
