Death of Hiram Clock
This event adds another to the already long list of those who at a ripe old age have been called away from among our population during the present season. Hiram Clock died at his residence on West Buffalo street last evening at the age of 84. He was born at Stamford, Conn., in 1794 and removed to Trumansburg in the year 1814, where he was a merchant tailor for many years.
In 1851 he took up his residence in Ithaca and has since continued to dwell here. Mr. Clock had been in feeble health since last fall and his death had been expected for many weeks. He left a widow and three children, namely Lyman Clock, H.L. Clock, and Mrs. M.L. Clinton. The funeral will be held from the late residence at 3 o’clock to-morrow.
