Funeral for Carrie Norwood Lamon, 90, of Medical Park Convalescent Home will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with the Rev. E.T. Waddell officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery with Brown Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 until 9. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Lamon died Wednesday at Medical Park. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Central Park Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Lamon and J.P. Lamon, both of Decatur; two daughters, Lucille Matthews and Gertrude Braswell, both of Decatur; one brother, James Norwood of Decatur; one sister, Mary Daniel of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Wayne Lamon, Johnny Matthews, Ronald Matthews, Bobby Matthews, Don McLemore and Ronnie Hendrix.
