Floy V. Hinson married Miss Mary Eichelberger on 30 August 1920 at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. E.M. Eichelberger at 730 Kentucky Avenue. Only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom witnessed the happy culmination of this romance which was officiated by Rev. Gary L. Smith. Miss Eichelberger comes from one of the most prominent and reputable pioneer families of Young County. She is an accomplished and winsome young woman of beauty and charm. She graduated from Graham High School and C.S. of M. The groom is a very promising young attorney, having attended the academic and law departments of the University of Texas and was recently nominated Prosecuting Attorney of Young County. The couple made their home at First and Kentucky Streets.

Services for Floy V. Hinson, Sr., prominent Graham attorney were held at the First Methodist Church with Rev. W.M. Greenwaldt, pastor and Rev. E.R. Gordon, pastor of the First Methodist Church at Ballinger officiating.

He was born in the Henry Chapel Community. He moved with his parents to Young County in 1880 from Meriweather, Georgia.

Floy Hinson was the youngest of 10 children. He was christened as an infant and later joined the Methodist Church at the age of 12. Floy Hinson entered Graham Schools in 1913 and graduated in 1917 with first honors. In the debating contest at Austin his senior year, he was chosen to represent the Wichita District and received favorable comment from the leading educators of Texas. After graduating from high school, he entered the University of Austin.

Floy Hinson was a veteran of World War I. He was admitted to the Bar in June 1919 and spent the active years of his life as an attorney, in which he distinguished himself. Floy Hinson ran for Young County Attorney in 1920.

He served faithfully as an official of the First Methodist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, and the Young County Bar Association. Floy Hinson practiced law in Graham and Lubbock. He was a former County Attorney for Young County.

Survived by two sons - Floy V. Hinson, Jr. and Edwin M. Hinson; one daughter - Mrs. Sheridan Cavitt; four grandchildren; one brother - C.W. Hinson; three sisters - Mrs. Myrtle Anderson, Mrs. Dessie Cook, Mrs. Ottis Craig.

Out-of-town relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lax, Mrs. Adelle Sykes, Bill Hinson, Miss Ruth Hinson, Mrs. Russell McConnell, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Smith
