David Mattingly died Tuesday morning after an illness of several months. He suffered with his heart and had several bleeding spells. Twenty-two years ago Mr. Mattingly married Miss Margaret Mattingly. Seven of their twelve children are living, the oldest one, Carl Mattingly is eighteen years of age and for the last year he has taken responsibilities of the family. He cared for his father, without a cross during his entire illness and is a devoted son to his mother. Mr. Mattingly left his family $2,000. He carried insurance in fourteen companies, Mr. Mattingly worked at the L. H & St. L. R. Shops. Besides his immediate ones, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Eliza Mattingly, one sister, Mrs. Carl Benton, of Louisville and three brothers, Fraize Mattingly of Owensboro, James Mattingly of Marshall, Texas and Lewis Mattingly of Kansas.
