"MARRIED In Northville, June 12th, at the residence of the bride's father by the Rev. James Dubuar, Mr. Edward S. Hastings to Miss Frank Nash. Also, at the same time and place. Mr. C. Eugene Clarkson to Miss Eva M. Nash, sister of the above named bride. A short time after the ceremony, which took place in the early part of the evening, the happy couples were greeted with some very fine music from the Northville Cornet Band." [Northville Record, June 22, 1872]

   As Eva's children began moving from Michigan to California, she made many trips back and forth before finally making a permanent move in 1920. Her daughter Norine was living with her in Eveline's home at 312 Vista Ave., Pasadena at the time of her death.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Eveline M. Clarkson, 312 Vista Avenue, will be held tomorrow at 1 p. m. at the chapel of Reynolds & Eberle, 825 East Orange Grove Avenue. Her death occured Jan. 14.
   A native of Michigan, Mrs. Clarkson had spent many years in California prior to coming to Pasadena 25 years ago. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Anna L. Dean and David E. Clarkson, of Alhambra; Norine Clarkson Merritt of South Pasadena and Flora H. Crosher, Pasadena; also 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren."
