"AN OLD RESIDENT DIES Charles Eugene Clarkson, one of the oldest residents of this community, died at his home on Wing Street last Saturday afternoon, aged nearly 75 years. He is survived by his wife who has the sympathy of all in her bereavement. Mr. Clarkson served in the Civil war and was a good soldier as well as an honorable and upright citizen. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon and interment took place at Oakwood Cemetery". ['Northville Record', 19 Dec. 1919]

"MARRIED In Northville, June 12th, at the residence of the bride's father by the Rev. James Dubuar, Mr. Edward S. Hastings to Miss Frank Nash. Also, at the same time and place. Mr. C. Eugene Clarkson to Miss Eva M. Nash, sister of the above named bride. A short time after the ceremony, which took place in the early part of the evening, the happy couples were greeted with some very fine music from the Northville Cornet Band."
